SUMMARY :

BILD is an independent registered charity based in Kidderminster, UK. Since
the organisation was founded in 1972 BILD has been committed to
improving the quality of life of all people with a learning disability.
Our work involves people of all ages and in all aspects of their lives.
We provide services that promote good practice in the provision and
planning of the health and social services for people with learning
disabilities.

People with learning disabilities are among the most disadvantaged and most vulnerable to discrimination in society. Their ability to have a voice and to
influance the way in which their own needs are planned for and met, is
often hampered by the views and actions of others.
BILD is firmly committed to amplifying their voice, by making services and service planners aware of and able to deal with the issues people with learning
disabilities face in their lives.
