    Training, research, material and information, rehabilitation. We are a cooperative forum for service providers. Our own services are rleated to research and project cooperation as well as communication assessment.

    Steady activities: dissemination of information (magazine Ketju (Chain), Plain language centre, Teaching Materials centre. Projects in Finland: Quality network “Alli” related to housing; development cooperation, employement project Zambia.
    Types of exchanges/events to organize with other countries :
    Setting up study visits, organizing transnational cooperation in order to
    exchange good practices, conducting projects promoting exchanges at
    local levels.
  • Project proposals :
    An exchange project of two or three service providers focusing on the
    quality of services of the developmentally disabled citizens in
    municipalities. We are interested in project cooperation for example, related to housing, employment, inclusion or living conditions.


SUMMARY :
The Finnish Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is a national central organisation and cooperative forum for organisations and persons working for a better quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities as well as others in need of support in learning, understanding and communicating.
