SUMMARY :

TACT was founded in 1991 as a national voluntary organization, constituted
as an Industrial & Provident (Friendly) Society. TACT’s mission is
to assist people who have severe disabilities and/or continuing
care/support needs along the continuum from disempowerment to
citizenship.

TACT aspires to provide excellent and iteratively developing services within a balanced portfolio of activities. The organization emerged and grew in response
to demand for creative services to support people with learning
disabilities plus significant behavioural, mental health or forensic
needs within ordinary communities and we have consciously sought to
balance this with less intense but often innovative parallel
developments.

Everything that TACT does is designed with, for and around Individuals.

TACT is a continuously evolving agency and we see our involvement in
European networks as providing scope for learning, sharing,
contributing and, in the context of sustainable partnerships,
operational growth.
