AIAS Bologna:
1. Works closely with territorial networks of social and health services and regional specialists
2. Trains operators, develops and disseminates new skill, technologies and knowledge
3. Supports public bodies, contributing to the definition of social and health policies and strategies through research, surveys and needs analyses.
4. Draws on cutting edge experience and best practices in Europe and contributes to the promotion of policies favouring disabled people and their families and quality of the services at their disposal.

Objectives achieved:
For people with disabilities and families much has changed in Bologna over the last forty years. Thanks also to the work of the association, operative since 1962, many services has been created and many rights have been recognized.

Currently AIAS Bologna
1. responds every day to the needs in terms of assistance, support or training of hundreds of children and adults with disabilities of their families and of the professionals working in the sector;
2. has a recognized role in offering services for people with disabilities in the city and province.;
3. provides specialized services, unique in the regional context;
4. promotes innovation in Europe;
5. participates in networks and work groups at local, national and EU level with the aim of promoting the quality of life of individuals and communities as also the quality of services;
6. has shown itself able to anticipate changes in the context within which operates adopts with flexibility;
7. invests in the quality, training and motivation of its staff ( approximately 100 people)

Non- profit
AIAS Bologna is an association of people with disabilities, family members, friends and professionals. Everyone can make a contribution through their experience, needs and ideas. In this variety AIAS finds its strength, its capacity to design and operate naturally in conjunction with public bodies of reference- quality services and innovative projects tailored to the need of users.
The Association is not concerned with the pursuit of profit and every resource is dedicated to the realization of its mission. The utilization of all funding received is documented with transparency .

TRIGON Association was established in 2006 on the principles of solidarity, transparency and reciprocity. The founders of TRIGON association are six civil associations from Ostrava with longtime experience with work in the field of help and support of people with handicaps. The founding members have made a contract between themselves. Its main goal is to make the inter-department cooperation in the fields of education, social sphere and healh care more effective. A significant task of the association is a creation of a powerful professional organization which will be a suitable partner for organizations from abroad. This is successfully made true on the basis of a five-year contracted agreement of cooperation with the organizations AFPE and Golden Rain Association from France, EPTA from. The Agreement of cooperation was signed during the meeting of representatives of these organizations within the frame of XIV. year of Czech - French Days in Ostrava. Exploiting multiyear foreign partners´experience of taking care of people with handicap irrespective of age will allow TRIGON Association to build up a functional system of mutually networked services. Thanks to the contracted agreement with foreign partners TRIGON Association has become a part of international projects which provide exchange cultural stays, exchange study stays and interships not only for professionals, but also for people with handicaps and their parents. Mutual comparison of experience significantly helps to change perception of possibilities for people with handicap to assert themselves in ordinary life. At the present time TRIGON Association focuses mainly on realization of projects which support integration of adult handicapped people into everyday life. The main point of these projects is to gain the highest possible level of independence for the people with handicaps in the form of pre-professional training, employment, sheltered housing and providing assistance services. To realize the projects also students of Ostrava schools with social specialization and volunteers were invited. One of the main projects, that is being prepared by TRIGON Association in cooporetion with University in Olomouc is education of social and pedagogical workers. This programme is acredited by the Ministry of work and social affairs.

Special Integration Group (IFD) for people with disabilities, hearing impared people. Employment Service foe handicapped people.
IFD is a aspecial counselling and information office, helping people with severe handicaps in their working life. This is done in accordance with Federal Law (SGB IX) and ordered by Landeswohlfahrtsverband Hessen.
