On the 20 and 21 of March 2017 ARFIE attended the ANDICAT Rencontre Nationales in Paris.
The event focused on innovation and change and saw the participation of several members of ARFIE, starting from the organizer.
During the event, the Tricentenaire Chocolat Factory has been presented, with a touching explanation of the daily activity in the factory from Angelo Maraglino, disabled chocolate maker.
Furthermore, during the session that focused on sheltered working experience in Europe, Alberto Alberani (Legacoop Emilia-Romagna and ARFIE Secretary General) and Raymond Ceccotto (APEMH and ARFIE President) presented relevant experiences from Italy and Luxembourg.
As for Italy, after presenting the Italian legislative framework, Mr Alberani presented the experience of work placement for people with disability managed by the social cooperatives from the Emilia Romagna Region.
For Luxembourg, Mr Ceccotto focused its attention on the sheltered workshop experiences, explaining the legislative framework and their evolution, as well as the advantages of a system that in 2015 involved 946 persons.
